I started learning Bharatanatyam, (an Indian classical dance form), since the age of 5. Dance is what taught me the importance of discipline and rigor. Over the years, I have learned and performed different styles of dance. The chronic injuries I sustained through my lifespan as a dancer inspired me to become a physical therapist. Now, I want to give back to this community.
Natya, movement through dance, is a vision of mine which is becoming a reality. The goal of the Natya initiative is to offer pain management, injury prevention and wellness services to the performing arts community. We serve dancers, musicians and theater professionals nationally and internationally. Come join this movement!
